What a day!

In the afternoon Double Shot of Blues (the John Williams’ Band) were playing at Idavue Winery in Heathcote and Field, See & Mason (Lindsay Field, Sam See & Glyn Mason) were playing at the Royal Oak in North Fitzroy from 4pm, after playing a gig in Bendigo the previous night. .

John had recently returned from Auckland, where he had played with the Kiwi version of Double Shot (with Garry Clarke on bass & drummer Ricky Ball).

Idavue has a great stand alone room for the gigs they host (the Barrel House). The appreciative audience listened and danced to the band who delivered a series of stellar sets, which included songs that will be on the imminent CD.

i got the the Royal Oak for the last bracket & was not disappointed. As always the trio were having fun & delivering fine songs in the Field, See & Mason way, all despite the problems Glyn currently has with his voice. Just when I feared the gig was over, it wasn’t … there was more, then more again.
