The combination of these two bands makes such a great evening’s entertainment. Once again Brendan Mason played with Spectrum before he moved to his better known role with Madder Lake. Spectrum’s Mike Rudd and Brendan complement each other musically and Brendan brings a sense of mischief to Spectrum as it approaches its 4th decade.

The Spectrum set included songs I haven’t heard live recently & several from the Ariel era; among them two of my favourites Jamaican Farewell & Disco Dilemma. With the latter Mike gave us a teasing moment of disco dancing.
I went with a friend who had not previously heard Spectrum play live. Two songs in she remarked how good there are. And they are, as the crowd acknowledged with their applause.
