As I was heading along Lygon St, not sure where the venue was, I heard the sounds of a blues band; the sounds I had come out to hear. With a different guy in the drummer’s seat, Double Shot played a mix of originals like ‘Highway 31’, their versions of the classics, songs like; ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’ plus the most amazing version of ‘Bad Boy For Love’ which gets me every time I hear it. Two sets didn’t seem enough before they handed over to a young band.Full marks to the trio for an enjoyable night.
