John Williams with Double Shot of Blues has had a busy few weeks. Last Thursday the trio played at the Hume Blues Club & yesterday they were one of three bands playing for an Asylum television live recording at 303 in Northcote. Regretfully I didn’t get to see them at either of those gigs.

News of the second CD is exciting. It is progressing & will be a mix of studio & live recordings of both original songs & classics done in that great way that Doubleshot deliver their music.

Their next gig is at Mr Boogieman Bar in Hoddle St alongside the Bronnie Gordon Band on Sunday June 2. I am looking forward to seeing them that evening. If you have never heard them live go along. They never disappoint.
