On Sunday Doubleshot played in the Spiegeltent as part of the Cooper’s Blues Music Festival. The festival was a day-long event run on the stage in the tent & another outside; alternating between the two areas. Despite the tent being a long way from Federation Square there were lots of people around, listening to the music & the organisers had acts running very close to schedule.

I’ve never listened to music in the Spiegeltent before. It is an intriguing environment. It was full when Doubleshot began their late afternoon set to a responsive crowd. They loved the trio & a few songs in the floor in front of the stage was alive with dancers.

Doubleshot delivered their best known songs including Fool For Your Stockings; Bad Boy For Love; Rock Me Baby & my favourite Bluest Blue.

They had played at the Albury Blues Festival the previous weekend where they had also wowed the crowd. They gave us one of their new songs on Sunday. I know there are something like 6 or 7 more new songs. I can’t wait to hear the rest of them …
