This gig on September 25th was the first time I have seen the trio (Lindsay Field, Sam See & Glyn Mason) for a long time. They’ve played lots of gigs since the end of all those lockdowns but for a series of reasons I haven’t got to any. So hearing them, seeing them play live again was a sheer delight.
Their harmonies are stunning. Their sense of themselves is serious yet light & Sam’s wacky sense of humour is never far from the surface.

For those who are not familiar with their shows, they deliver their versions of Australian songs; all quite different from the originals. Some of those delivered on Sunday were from their 2016 CD like Leaps & Bounds, Better Be Home Soon, Never Tear Us Apart & Reasons (the latter written by Sam). I wonder what Angus & Malcolm Young & Bon Scott would think of the Field, See & Mason version of Highway to Hell with a chunk of Mornington Ride spliced in there …
It was a great afternoon where excellent music was delivered to a full house.
