A solo album from Gus Fenwick

Kiwi bass player Gus Fenwick has been in many bands like the Auckland band the Layabouts and the Pleazers (aka the Aussie Pleazers) who were best known in their time in Auckland circa 1965/1966. In 1969 Gus joined the Action who were then playing at the Whisky in Sydney.

He was in Band of Talabene with Phil Manning and in Healing Force with Mal Logan. Recently he commented that he has spend a lot of his career as a ‘hired gun’. He has played with Kevin Borich, Brian Cadd, Doug Parkinson, Jim Keays … He has played in countries other than NZ & Australia, played on squillions of albums and more recently has been involved with musicals.

Now he has released a solo album. I knew he was working on this and thanks to Evan Silva who was also in the Action I know this album is now available via Gus’ website www.gusfenwick.com

Evan said the album is ‘very, very good indeed’ so in the next day or so I’ll buy a copy.
