It was such a relief to be at the Espy to see the Hounds after suffering at the Cherry Bar in its new location to see them on Jan 5th. The Espy has easy access, a really good sound system, seating, and a great atmosphere.

US bass player Jerome Smith had been missing for the last few gigs so it was wonderful he was back in his usual spot in the line-up. I love the fact that there are 4 singers (Steve Lucas, Matt Dwyer, Jerome & Dave) & they are all lined-up at the front of the stage. The 4, in a gentlemanly fashion take turns to sing. Robbo from Spectrum was their drummer again. He has now played with them often & just fits in.

They were all relaxed; enjoying themselves with hints of mischief escaping from both Jerome & Dave. They delivered some real classics like Smoke Stack Lightning, Whole Lot of Shaking, Jump Jive, Sick & Tired, All Shock Up …

The Espy really is the right place to listen to this band.
