It was a freezing night & the night Australia was playing France in the World Cup. The game was being shown live on a screen beside the stage where the band played.

The crowd was small & were occasionally distracted by the football (soccer). I observed moments when both John Williams & Michael Emmerling (the latter who had played soccer in his youth) were also distracted by the game. But it didn’t detract from their delivery at all.

DoubleShot (John, Michael & drummer Glenn Roche) delivered the best version of ‘Little Red Rooster’ I have heard then do with back up from the dogs & the hounds (Michael & Glenn) much more demonstrative than ever before! (The photo above shows John & Michael.)

All the wimps who stayed home in the warm missed an excellent night of blues from a first-class band who just get better & better.
