Field, See and Mason at the Royal Oak Sunday January 28, 2018

It was 38 degrees outside but the pub had the air con cranked up and electric fans were on in various corners.

This was the first Lindsay Field, Sam See and Glyn Mason show at the Royal Oak for the year. The three musicians were in fine form. Glyn has shaken off the throat lurgy he had late last year so his voice was strong and rich as it should be again. Sam was his rascally self & he had been busy altering arrangements for various songs in their repertoire. They’re playing at the Adelaide Fringe Festival next month & are off to the UK to join and work on a cruise ship in May.

No, I haven’t forgotten Lindsay. He is in the photo below and yesterday sounded as great as always.

They are such skilled musicians: Sam is a multi-instrumentalist. In this trio he plays guitar and mandolin (but in other bands he plays keyboards as well). All three are great vocalists and together provide wonderful harmonies.

They are always well-rehearsed; always have fun and therefore their audiences have fun too.
